The Centre For Management Of Environment, Occupational Safety and Health (CMeOSH) UMK is established as a centre of excellence in management of occupational safety and health. Since 2015 CMeOSH UMK have quantum leap in achieving excellence through National OSH Excellence Award 2018 as well as a first Malaysia Government university and agency certified wIth ISO 45001:2018 OHSMS. As a award winning and ISO certified centre, CMeOSH UMK committed to provide consultations and services covering OSH management and certification, Industrial Hygiene monitoring, OSH training and other services for industries and community in order to create safe and healthy workplaces for all. To this date CMeOSH UMK have consistently strengthened various schools, universities and industries such as NIOSH Malaysia, DOSH Malaysia, TNB Berhad, Scania (M) Sdn Bhd, Perdana Ekspress (Tiara Persona Sdn Bhd), Westar Aviation Sdn Bhd and many more in implementing and complying OSH requirements at their organisations.
Leading the excellence of occupational safety and health environment management
Ensure legal compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 (Act 514), Factories and Machinery Act 1967 (Act 139) and the Environmental Quality Act 1974 (Act 127) through the Occupational Safety and Health Management System ISO 45001: 2018
1. Implement and update the Occupational Safety and Health Management System (ISO 45001: 2018)
2. Meet the legal requirements of the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 (Act 514), Factories and Machinery Act 1967 (Act 139) and the Environmental Quality Act 1974 (Act 127)
3. Perform duties as the secretariat of the Occupational Environment, Safety and Health Committee (JPKKP) Occupational other than monitoring and inspecting occupational safety and health at work on a regular basis
4. Provide awareness training on occupational safety and health aspects to the residents of Universiti Malaysia Kelantan
5. Cultivating occupational safety and health to the people of Universiti Malaysia Kelantan and outsiders.
